SPECIFIC INITIATIVES

Annual conferences

• The Society hosts three-day conferences that provide a forum for government officials, expert practitioners, and academics to present papers and talks on selected topics, as well as spend quality social time together at the Society dinner, lunches, and cocktails. 
• The conference papers are made available on CD-ROM at the conference and certain selected papers are made available through the Society’s law review.

Law Review

• The Society hosts a law review, issued through Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw, as well as to the members electronically, twice a year. The law review is a member of the National Conference of Law Reviews (NCLR), presenting high quality, footnoted academic and professional papers.

Education & Training

• Besides the annual conferences, The Society has partnered with accredited academic institutions to provide its members with high quality interactive education and training in the fields of:

·         International Taxation

·         Anti-Money Laundering & Compliance

·         Trusts and Administration Companies and Administration International Estate Planning

·         U.S. Taxation

·         E-Commerce

·         The Society's academic partner is the Walter H. & Dorothy B. Diamond International Tax Program.

·         The Society is developing an accredited J.S.D. (doctoral) program in the above fields in association with Walter H. & Dorothy B. Diamond International Tax Program.

Advanced Professional Certification

• The Society partners with accredited academic institutions to provide its members with high quality interactive education and training in the form of Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas in the fields of:

·         International Taxation

·         Anti-Money Laundering & Compliance

·         Trusts & Companies Administration and Estate Planning

·         U.S. Taxation

·         E-Commerce

Fellow

• The Society awards the title of Fellow to qualified, distinguished professionals and academics.

Body of Experts and Fellows

• The Society provides the public a database of Certified Experts for use by government bodies, professional, and potential clients.

Research and Public Policy

• The Society, through Walter H. & Dorothy B. Diamond International Tax Program, provides a research grant to a Fellow or Fellows each year for the purposes of government policy making and developing / improving national laws, with the finished product being published in the law review.

• The Society, through an academic partner, may provide a research facility as part of a research grant to its Fellows.

• The Society attempts to maintain a pool of research assistants that General Members may employ at low cost on an “as available basis”.

• The Society provides professional advice, training and consultation with governments on a global basis.
